I hopped on the rocks. It was an isolated part of the lake not far from the market place. The lake was dead calm in the coolness of the early morning breeze. I was looking for a place among the boulders of rocks where I could come close to the water and wash. As I tried to climb down a rock, I slipped and fell into the water. I was too small; I didn't know how to swim. I struggled for air. I kicked; it was too deep for my size. I swung my arms wildly trying to stay afloat but the harder I tried...the further I got away from the rocks towards the deep. I popped out of the water up and down until suddenly; I was up in space. I was instantly out of the semi-darkness of the deep into the bright sunshine. Two bancas (canoe-like boats) materialized from nowhere with each single rower pulling me out of the water simultaneously one on each of my hands. I must have looked like a frog hanging in the air. It was my second very close call.

If we don't control our children's access to the net...our future generations will be dumb; real dumb.

I have for several times paused for a moment wanting to write about something but I always felt having stopped at a dead end. I feel dumb. We spend too much time in the net. Yes...we get all the information we ever wanted. I rarely watch television from my satellite dish because the net has better things to offer like live and recorded access to ABS-CBN, GMA 7, TV 5 and all the movies I ever wanted to see for free. TFC (The Filipino Channel) of ABS-CBN will be the next casualty of the ever improving technology of the web. Philippine is now the 'YouTube' capital of the world not for anything else but the entertainment it offers and yes...the education as well. You can understand Einstein's theory of relativity in minutes what you failed to understand in years of high school and college.
