The Ranao Council College Entrance and Scholarship Examination Review Program (RC CESERP) started its classes last June 21, 2008 at the RC Al Khwarizmi International College. The management team under the chairmanship of Eng'r. Sihawi Khalid was happily surprised to see the students even under the heavy rain and storm. It only showed that the students from the different schools in Marawi. Lanao and even Iligan City were indeed looking forward to this review.

After a year of meticulous planning, the plan of the Ranao Council to open a college finally came to fruition. Like most schools, AKIC is starting its classes with a modest number of students and with a handful of carefully recruited faculty members.

Due to some issues raised in this site about how the Hajj is managed by the Office of Muslim Affairs and the request by some, especially in the Chat box, to those interested to share their first-hand experiences, I am sharing some pages from a personal Diary I kept during the Hajj. Every Muslim dreams of one day going on a hajj. Being one of the five pillars of Islam, one never feels a complete Muslim unless he has made the journey. Such a dream is shaped from early childhood and nurtured by the stories of those members of the family who have made this lifetime voyage. In my case, the images I held in my mind were still the same pictures painted to me as a kid back in the 1960’s.
