RANAO COUNCIL YOUNG PROFESSIONALS GUILD (RCYPG)

The Guild

The RC Young Professionals Guild (RCYPG) is composed of young professionals of the Rano Council Incorporated, Marawi Chapter who engage in activities that foster the Council's interests in youth and community development within Marawi and beyond with its focus on Peace and Development for Muslim Filipinos. Among its specific goals is to guide the RC student assembly members in promoting academic, social and cultural welfare of the council and the Muslims in general.


Present and Envisioned Members:

Present pool of professionals who are members of the RC Inc. whose ages range from 20 to 45 and are graduates of any academic degree all over the world.

Incoming members are the expected graduates from the Student Assembly or professionals who are applying to the council who shall undergo separate rites.

The RCYPG is established with the following diverse interests:

The Professional Development

RCYPG seeks to uphold an obligation to encourage professional development by way of hosting periodic activities and events that empower them with confidence, new ideas, teamwork and critical-thinking skills necessary to attain organizational objectives.

Activities include:

  • Lecture Series/ Round Table Discussions on different aspects:
    • Politics
    • Economics
    • Socio-Cultural
    • Moral
    • Religious
    • Media and Information
  • Sessions on useful topics like Understanding Brotherhood and Professionalism and other Team Building Activities
The Community Involvement

RCYPG connects those who want to volunteer/ become involved in the community, with those who need volunteers.

Activities include:

  • Life-Long Learning Sessions on Moral and Religious issues through Uzra and academic development programs
  • Relationship and Brotherhood Building Activities
  • Leadership Activities
The Communications and Fundraising

RCYPG serves as the main contact internally and externally, and support to the other projects and activities. A committee on this area coordinates fundraising events and activities.

Activities include:

  • Lead the newsletter publishing and distribution for Lanao
  • Create/distribute invitations and flyers for events
  • Develop a database of local Young Meranao Professionals
  • Organize fundraising events/activities (e.g. seminars and workshops for the youth)
  • Take lead role in networking and linkages with groups, agencies and institution on programs and activities designed for peace and development advocacies
